WHO WE ARE
Unknown Forces eSports e.V. is a registered, non-profit sports club dedicated to advancing esports in Germany. We combine professional competitive structures with traditional club work, genuine team spirit, and the ambition to establish esports as a fully recognized sport—socially, structurally, and personally.
As a modern sports club, we promote not only digital performance but also the physical health and social skills of our members. Because we believe: We see esports as a discipline that combines mental performance, teamwork, structure, and personal development.
OUR STORY
THE FOUNDING
Three teams split from their previous organization and founded Unknown Forces eSports with the goal of building a better structure for players.
FOUNDATIONS & STRUCTURE
The name and appearance are defined, internal standards are set, and the foundation for clean organization is built: a Discord structure with roles and rules, as well as the first established processes for tryouts, practice sessions, and team coordination—so community and internal work are clearly separated and managed reliably.
FOUNDING AS A REGISTERED ASSOCIATION
With the formation as a registered association, statutes, executive board, and core club documents are formally adopted and the registration process is initiated. At the same time, the first binding club standards are defined to structure responsibilities, internal processes, and long-term club work in a clean and traceable way.
STRUCTURE: DIRECTORATES & DEPARTMENTS
The organization is divided into directorates and departments so tasks can scale and be managed properly.
500 DISCORD MEMBERS
Our Discord community surpasses the 500-server-member mark—a visible milestone for reach and community growth.
OUR OWN FORMATS & EVENTS
With formats like 'Ask the Board' and regular community evenings, fixed points of contact for exchange and community bonding were established. In December 2025, the UKF Eagles Cup followed as the first in-house tournament format, bringing community, competition, and visibility together in a tangible way.
STEADY GROWTH
With over 60 players and 7 active teams in titles like Rainbow Six Siege and Valorant, we are an established name in the German community. (As of: 03.2026)
The founding of Unknown Forces dates back to 14 August 2023. On this day, three
teams split from their previous organization due to internal differences. Instead of going separate
ways, we consciously chose a fresh start—with the goal of building a structure that works reliably:
clear responsibilities, traceable processes, and an environment where athletic development is
possible in the long run.
In the months that followed, the foundations were laid: internal rules and standards, clean
communication organization, and the first established structures for team coordination and
community. The early growth quickly showed that a pure "organization" without a formal framework is
not stable enough in the long term—especially not when responsibility, public presence, and
long-term planning are taken seriously.
On 14 November 2023, the founding of Unknown Forces eSports e.V. was therefore
decided and the registration as a club was initiated. With the club structure, responsibilities
could be anchored permanently, processes regulated in a binding way, and club work documented
properly. In addition, the club was recognized as non-profit by the tax office.
This allows us to pursue our vision within a clear, legally sound framework: sustainably promoting
esports as a sport, organizing club work in a structured way, and building a community that carries
both competition and cohesion.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
UKF is democratically organized. The key bodies are the general meeting and the executive board.

FAQ
DISCORD VS. CLUB
Discord membership is community. Club membership is a formal membership in the registered association (e.V.) with fees and rights.
HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Via the online membership application. After review, you'll receive a confirmation and all relevant information.
DONATION RECEIPT?
For donations to the club: usually yes (within legal requirements and provided all details are complete). For tips via third-party platforms (e.g., Twitch or Discord): no.
DO I HAVE TO BE A CLUB MEMBER TO PLAY ON A TEAM?
No. You can play on a UKF team without joining the e.V. Club membership is optional and mainly affects voting rights and club benefits—not basic participation in team operations.
WHAT DO I GET FROM CLUB MEMBERSHIP?
As a club member, you have participation rights—for example in the general meeting (votes, motions, elections). Depending on current offerings, you may also benefit from perks such as discounts, exclusive activities, and internal club benefits.
HOW CAN I HAVE A SAY IN THE CLUB?
Participation takes place via the general meeting: you can vote, submit motions, and take part in elections. This way, you actively help shape how the club develops and what priorities are set.
HOW DOES PLAYER ADMISSION WORK?
Entry usually goes through tryouts and a short getting-to-know phase. We check not only skill, but also reliability, communication, and whether you fit the team structure. Only then do we integrate you into rosters and processes.
WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM COMMUNITY AND TEAM MEMBERS?
Respect, rule awareness, and clean communication. In teams additionally: reliability for practices/matches, teamwork, and the willingness to follow standards. Anyone who consistently works against rules or processes won't be carried along.
CLUB MEMBERSHIP VS. TEAM SPOT?
A club member is not automatically a player. A membership does not "buy" a spot on a team – if you don't fit into a team competitively, you can still support the club as a passive or active member without playing on one of our rosters.
WHEN ARE TRYOUTS OPEN?
Tryouts are generally always open. However, whether a specific team currently has open spots depends on that roster’s situation and current needs.
DO I NEED TO BE 18+ FOR EVERY TEAM?
No. Not every team requires players to be 18 or older. In most cases, the minimum age is 16. In exceptional cases, younger players may also be accepted if written permission from their legal guardians is provided.
WHAT INFORMATION ABOUT PLAYERS IS PUBLISHED?
The club may publish a player’s name or first name, Discord name and/or in-game name, role or position in the team, age, nationality, and, where applicable, leagues and achievements. A photo is only published with explicit consent.
